Digital Channels Reaction Countless users and merchants have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration. The company said the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces. It has advised users to review their products and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance. Sizing System Changes Before the change, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was previously a 12 but is now a UK 16-18. User Accounts Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22. "If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they will likely be quite upset," she said. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, located in England, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item". "Personally, this is quite irritating, as I'm chronically ill and selling on Vinted has been paramount following partial earnings loss," she said. Platform Context The app has more than 100 million members, comprising 18 million UK members. It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
